A number of other colleges and universities are also located in or near Zhuhai. The Zhuhai College of Beijing Normal University (officially named Beijing Normal University Zhuhai Campus) was created as a new model university in China and comprises a number of independent colleges. The entrance mark required (558 in 2006) is lower than that of Beijing Normal University (Beijing) and the degree awarded is not of the same status.
